How to Order

You first need to register for a new ARC account or sign in to an existing account. Registration is totally free. Please check our services and prices and terms of use.

If you wish to pay with a credit card simply add items to your cart and proceed to checkout. All distributed strains can be added to your order using the "Add to Cart" buttons on the strain page (see non-distributed strains below). Once the order is complete, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and a PDF file summarizing the order.

To order by purchase order, please contact ARC Director (desouzac@uncw.edu) to request a quote and provide a PO number.

Please note that all transactions are processed by MARBIONC Development Group and will appear as such on statements. There is a $50 cancellation fee applied to each strain requested.

Strains will be shipped after the payment is performed. A shipping fee will be added to all orders.

Contact us before placing your order if you reside outside the USA. We will send a proforma invoice with the shipment to facilitate passage through customs in your country. This is the only document that we can supply. It is your responsibility to arrange transfer through customs, thus we will not resend the cultures free of charge if cultures are blocked or delayed in customs.

Non-distributed strains

We generally do not distribute strains originated from other collections (except in cases where a given strain is not presently distributed by its original collection). Please contact directly the original culture collections if you want to order these strains.

Strains that are in the process of being characterized or described by ARC staff and strains deposited in the ARC by researchers who request restriction on distribution until they have published the data related to the strains are listed in the website “available only for collaboration". Please contact us if you are interested in obtaining one of these strains. That will be done through a special collaboration arrangement.
